A talk and practical from Liz Parsons on wildlife friendly flowers was enjoyed by different generations at the Community Garden today, Sunday 30th September, as the group learned about wildlife friendly flowers and enjoyed the free tea, coffee and delicious gluten free cake!
A big thank you to Liz Parsons and Morag Thow, and indeed to everyone who made it a fun and informative afternoon, learning about many varieties of wildlife friendly plants such as the Garlic Mushroom (Alliaria petiolata), a biennial flowering plant in the mustard family, tips on attracting hedgehogs to your garden and what to feed them, to plants that attract moths which in turn attract bats to your garden!
Please get in touch if you would like a list of all the plants discussed and Liz will be delighted to email you further information.
