About Us

Our story

The community garden was founded a number of years ago but eventually members of the group who started the garden either left or retired or sadly died. The garden then became very overgrown and a group of us who had been planting flowers at the railway station got together and decided to try to bring the garden back into the community.

So two years ago the group of keen volunteers made a start on tidying the garden and since then it has transformed into a lovely area with trees and vegetables and a poly tunnel bursting with tomatoes and courgettes.

The  community garden group aim to bring on many plants in the garden to plant in the many containers in and around the village to enhance the image and beauty of Lochwinnoch.

Anyone is welcome to join in, you don’t need to be an expert gardener, you can learn as you go along.

Our logo

The after school group regularly uses the community garden so we held a competition to design logo, and an excellent logo was designed and created by one of the children.
